Obituary of Rod Loucks

The family of Rodney "Rod" Loucks of Yorkton, beloved son of Ruth & Arthur Loucks sadly annopunce his passing on Monday, June 17, 2024. Rod was 63 years of age.

There will be a Private Family Service to take place on August 10, 2024 at 3:00p.m.

The interment will take place at Yorkton Memorial Gardens.

Memorials in memory of Rodney may be made to World Vision Canada (1 World Drive Mississauga, Ontario L5T 2Y4) or Kinsmen Telemiracle (A3-116 103 St. E., Saskatoon, SK S7N 1Y7) as gifts of remembrance.

Rodney Clifford Loucks

Born: December 30, 1960 in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Passed Away June 17, 2024.

Rod graduated from the Yorkton Regional High School in June 1979.

He received Certificates for Welding and Continuing Care at the Parkland Community College.

Rod worked as a Continuing Care Assistant for the Sunrise Health Region up to the time of his passing.

Rod was a shy, gentle, kind and generous person, he saw the good in everyone he met. He was a generous supporter of World Vision, especially in the areas of vaccinations and health programs in underdeveloped areas of the world.

Rod’s interests were numerous, he loved listening to music and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed watching sports, hockey, football and soccer, he was a fan of the Maple Leafs and Saskatchewan Roughriders and also liked to play darts with his father.

Rodney was an avid reader and always had a book on the go. His particular areas of interest were History, Military History and the Bible.

Rod’s sudden passing was a shock to everyone. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Joe and Ann Halabuza and Clifford and Abbie Loucks and is survived by his loving parents Ruth and Art Loucks and his brothers Curtis (Tracy), Dale (Denise) and Dean, numerous nephews and niece.
