Obituary of Walter Steve Domshy

The family of Walter Domshy of the Theodore Health Centre and formerly of the Jedburgh District, sadly announce his passing on November 30, 2021. He was 88 years of age. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. The interment will follow in the Jedburgh Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Whitesand Regional Park (Box 406, Theodore, SK., S0A 4C0) or to the Theodore Health Centre, (Box 70, Theodore, SK., S0A 4C0) as gifts of remembrance. Walter Domshy, resident of Theodore Health Centre, passed away at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre on November 30, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Walter was born on January 9, 1933 on the farm at Jedburgh, the second child of seven children born to John an Pearl Domshy. Walter was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Marvin (Carol) and Orest (Shirley), and his sister Alice (Mike). Walter is survived by his brothers Edward (Ardith), and Dennis (Karen) and his sister Pat (Ron) as well as many nephews and nieces. Walter was raised on the family farm near Jedburgh and attended Jedburgh school after which he farmed, and then began working for the CN railway until he retired in 1978. He moved to Theodore in 1984 and lived with and cared for his mother until she moved to the Theodore Health Centre in 1999. Walter enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and was always available to help other farm friends with their chores and projects. Walter lived in his home until due to failing health he moved to the Foam Lake Nursing Home and then eventually to the Theodore Health Centre where he resided until his passing. Service Details.
