Dennis Yaremko

Obituary of Dennis Yaremko

Dennis David Steven Yaremko was born in Yorkton, SK, on October 30, 1959, to Henry and Madeline (nee Spilchen) Yaremko.

Dennis left Yorkton for Winnipeg in 1975, where he had a few odd jobs, until he found a job at Wilson’s Auto Electric Factory in 1976.

Dennis would put starters together and paint them – that’s where he got his nickname “Monkey”. He came in one day acting like a monkey which stayed with him to the end. He worked there for 24 years and then moved back to Yorkton in 2003, where he worked at Harvest Meats until 2011. He then worked for New Holland from 2012 to 2018, until some health problems persisted and he could no longer work. He was always considered a great employee, loved by all.

Dennis sold his house and moved to Queen Elizabeth Court where he made many new friends and was very happy.

Dennis was predeceased by his parents Madeline and Henry Yaremko. He leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life sisters; Iris (John) Solaman, Rosie (Mike) Siwicki, Sharon (Dwayne) Solnes, Linda Tegelberg, Violet (Clarence) Woychesko, Donna (Daryl) Holad, brothers; Bill (Iris) and George (Shirley); as well as 19 nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorial donations in memory of Dennis Yaremko may be made to Jumpstart to help kids access sport and play in Yorkton as gifts of remembrance.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home and Cremation Care.
