Roy Craske, a beloved husband, father, and grandad, suddenly passed away on July 11th, 2024, at the age of 63 years.

Roy John Craske, the son of Jack and Vera Craske, was born on October 4th, 1960, in Hindolveston, Norfolk, England.

Roy grew up in the village of Hindolveston. At the age of 16, he worked for a local farmer with livestock and agriculture. Here he learned many skills and became the jack-of-all-trades. At a young age, he followed his father’s footsteps, sharing a passion for clay pigeon shooting. This brought him to competing with the Junior Great Britain Shooting Team, travelling all over Europe.

He met his beloved wife Denise in 1986, marking the beginning of a loving partnership. They married July 9th, 1988, and just celebrated 36 years of marriage. Roy and Denise built a house and started a pig farm, called Royden Pigs in Wingfield, Suffolk. In 1993, their first son, Robert, was born and their life as a family began. In 1994, their daughter Kerrie was born. In the fall of 1998, Roy immigrated to Canada with his family, becoming a hog barn manager for Big Sky Farms. They made Preeceville, Saskatchewan their new home. In 1999, they welcomed their second son, Jason. Roy later became a Canadian citizen.

Family was very special to Roy. He loved living an active lifestyle; spending time fishing, gardening, camping, playing cricket in the backyard, and trap shooting. Winter months were spent playing many card games, and Roy was very competitive! He had a love for animals, and will be greatly missed by his dog, Sage.

Roy loved all careers he pursued. Anyone that knows him knows how hard-working and dedicated he was. His careers included hog farming, exterior construction, and food production at Grain Millers.

Over the years, he saw all his children marry. Two daughters-in-law, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren were added to the family.

Roy will be remembered for his kind, loving heart, big smile, and his willingness to help others.

Roy will be forever missed by his loving wife, Denise Craske, children Robert (Heidi), Kerrie (Brody), Jason (Katie), grandchildren Chloe and Clay, and sister Linda (Simon).
