Obituary of Andrew Weber

WEBER – It is with great sadness that the family of Andrew Jonathon Weber announce his sudden passing at his family home in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, on November 9, 2024, at the age of 37. Andrew was born on July 23, 1987, to his parents, Daniel and Wanda (nee Young) Weber. Three years later, his brother Tyler was born. Andrew was always a good big brother. Andrew was very protective of Tyler and always tried to look after him. Andrew attended St. Paul’s and St. Michael’s elementary schools. Andrew graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 2006. Andrew met many good people and made many good friends and to this day has kept a strong relationship with many of those friends. Andrew was a loving and caring son. He would check in on his Dad at work and call his Mom a couple times a day to see how they were doing. Andrew started to work at Harvest Meats in high school and the Shell gas station, where he eventually transitioned to working full-time at Harvest in evening packaging and eventually moved to the shipping department, where he worked at his father’s side for several years. Eventually Andrew moved departments and started assisting Geoff in the office, where he later became purchasing manager. Andrew loved his job. He took great pride in his work and often told his wife, Deidre, that he planned on doing it until he was 70. Andrew met the love of his life, Deidre, at Holly’s on New Year’s Eve. It was love at first sight for them both. They welcomed their first son, Jackson, in December of 2012, and completed their family with the addition of their son, Lucas, in July of 2016. Andrew and Deidre were united in marriage in May of 2019. Andrew loved many sports, but developed a passion for Jujitsu. He trained hard and received his blue belt. He won a silver medal in GI in 2012. Andrew loved demonstrating his skills and would often grapple with people for fun to show them how skilled he truly was. He showed his future wife a skill or two on how to choke out a person and then stopped teaching her any more, in fear of his own safety. Andrew enjoyed spending time with his family. He was always very interested in his children’s lives and made sure to ask about their day and to get an afterschool hug. He loved his wife and always did everything he could for her. Andrew and Deidre were the best of friends and inseparable. Andrew was a big football fan. He enjoyed watching it on TV and was a big Tom Brady fan. After Tom retired, Andrew’s new favourite player became his son, Jackson, who he enjoyed watching and cheering on. Andrew loved tossing the ball around with his boys. Lucas developed a strong throw and then Andrew work hard on improving his throw after seeing that his wife had a better spiral than him. Andrew was truly a wonderful person. He was kind, hardworking, and a wonderful provider to his family. Andrew leaves behind his loving family and many friends. He will be deeply missed by all.
