Bev Lutz

Obituary of Bev Lutz

Beverly Jane Lutz was born January 12, 1963 to John and Jean (nee Kozie) Kapitski in Montréal Canada. She has one older sister, Brenda and an identical twin sister, Barbara. She lived there for 4 years before moving to Yorkton with her family, and she attended school in Yorkton until she graduated from Sacred Heart High School in the year 1982. Immediately after graduation, Bev moved to Calgary where she lived and worked for a short time. When she moved back to Yorkton, she spent her time with friends and family before meeting her husband, Allan. Bev and Allan were overjoyed when they gave birth to their first son, Jared, on March 14, 1990. Two years later, Bev and Allan got married on September 26, 1992. Shortly after their marriage, Bev and Allan moved to a farm in Ituna, SK and on September 6, 1993 they completed their nuclear family with the birth of their second son, Tanner. While living on the farm Bev held a casual position driving the school bus and she enjoyed picking up students and taking them to school. The family moved back to Yorkton in 1996. Bev gained employment at Key Chev Olds. She enjoyed this job like it was her second home and her coworkers were like a second family to her.

She shared her love of sports with her sons, and Bev enjoyed spending her time in the hockey rinks watching them play hockey. She would travel to every game and practice. Bev had a very loud voice in the arena; everyone knew when she was around because you could hear her voice through the whole arena and maybe even in the parking lot. During the summer she held a seasonal campsite out at Canora Beach where she would spend every weekend relaxing around the camp fire or with her poodle, Chico, on the pontoon boat. She would invite all her friends and family out for the famous deep fries or barbeques she would host. Bev adored travelling and seeing the world, but her absolute favourite destination was Las Vegas. An extremely memorable trip for Bev was when she was given the opportunity to meet Sydney Crosby at a Pittsburgh Penguins game in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2022.

Bev was Predeceased by her father, John Kapitski in 1982, her father-in-law Emil Lutz in 2006, and her brother-in-law Ernie Lutz in 2023. She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband Allan, her cherished sons Jared and Tanner (Leah), her granddaughter Octavia, her mother Jean Kitsch and mother-in-law Nettie Lutz, her sisters Brenda Kapitski and Barbara (David) Wunder, and her sisters-in-law Nadine (Bill) Redstone and Jeanette (Brent) Kutas. She also leaves to mourn her adored nieces and nephews, Jared Beatty, Brianna Kutas, Tristan Kutas, Samantha Bleau, Cody Wunder, Traci Lindemann, and Jonathan Hardybala.
