Obituary of Agnes Antoneshyn
The family of Agnes Antoneshyn of Neudorf, formerly of Kelliher, widow of Peter Antoneshyn sadly announce her passing on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Agnes was 94 years of age.
The Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, November 25 at 11:00a.m. from St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church with Father Melchor Samonte celebrating.
The interment will follow in the Kelliher Memorial Gardens.
Agnes Antoneshyn (nee Ottenbreit) of Neudorf, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully at
St. Peter’s Hospital on November 16, 2024 at 94 years of age. Agnes was born August 5, 1930.
Agnes was born north of Silton, Saskatchewan (Sec36 Tp21 Rg22 W2nd) to John and Magdelena Ottenbreit (nee Rieger) who were formerly of Bukovina, Austria. She was the seventh of nine children and was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady of the Lake Chapel in Silton. Agnes was united in marriage to Peter Antoneshyn on October 04, 1952 by Father Dobblestein in Silton. They were blessed with two children Deborah and Dale and 64 years of marriage.
Agnes was predeceased by her parents John and Magdelena (nee Rieger), her son Dale in 1999 and her husband Peter in 2016. Her siblings; Rosie Neuman, Elizabeth Doege, Christine Schultz, Mary Kantz, Joe, John, George and Frank (at the age of 9).
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory her daughter Deborah Goebel (Donald) of Neudorf. Five grandchildren, Tyler Goebel, Courtney Blenkiron (Devon), Callie Gardiner (Dan) all of Neudorf, Ashleigh Fredrick (Aaron Hornan) of Vancouver BC, and Shelby Fredrick (Kyle Fayant) of Thompson, Manitoba. Nine great grandchildren, Roslyn, Mack; Austin, Blaire, Reese; Bohdan, Bronson, Jack; and Madelynn, as well as brother-in-law Frank Kantz and many nieces and nephews.
