Obituary of Katherine Josephine "Kay" Leshko

The family of Katherine "Kay" Leshko of Regina, formerly of Melville, sadly announce her passing on Sunday October 31, 2021. She was 93 years of age. Due to Covid 19 & Kay's wishes there will be a private service held for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Lakeside Manor Care Home 101 Crescent Lake Rd., Saltcoats, SK S0A 3R0 or to St. Peter's Hospital Box 1810, Melville, SK S0A 2P0 as gifts of remembrance. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our precious sister Kay. Kay entered her eternal rest on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Lakeside Manor Care home in Saltcoats at the age of 93 years. Kay was born on April 15, 1928 to Wasyl and Anna Pillipow. Kay had a wonderful life. She was united in marriage to William Leshko and were blessed with one son, Darryl. Kay loved to entertain; she enjoyed cooking and gardening, no one left her table hungry. Her most enjoyment was traveling with Darryl and other family members. She was a long time member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and with different church organizations. Most of Kay's life was spent in Melville then Regina and when she was unable to be on her own she moved to Lakeside Manor Care Home in Saltcoats. Predeceased by her husband Bill and son Darryl. Kay leaves to cherish her memory her siblings; brother Eugene; sisters; Sylvia (Ernie), Grace (Doug), Bonnie (Bill) and Dianna (Lawrence); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Service Details.
