Obituary of Vivian Grace Mason

Vivian Grace Mason was born on February 11, 1943 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to Nick and Anne (nee Rusnak) Kopan. Vivian along with her sister Jean were raised in Yorkton and attended school. After completing high school Vivian attended business courses and later worked in the Metropolitan Department Store in Yorkton. Vivian later moved to Regina and raised her son Jeff on her own. She was a self-made, independent and very determined woman. Vivian worked for as a Purchaser in the head office for the OK Economy. On a blind date at Regina Beach she met Josh Mason. Vivian and Josh were later married in Regina. After both Vivian and Josh were being requested to transfer and move by the employers they worked for, they decided to strike out on their own and start their own company. Together they started Network Innovations and Vivian provided all of the office administration, bookkeeping and support. Everyone in the industry had letters after their name so Vivian gave herself her own letters, S.A.B. (she said it stood for shiny ass bookkeeper). After many years of hard work her reward was being able to travel. Vivian and Josh made many special trips and had amazing experiences throughout Canada and went south to Mexico several times to escape some winter and tried various cruises. They travelled overseas to England, Scotland, Wales and Egypt. Vivian and her friend Fran visited Russia, Ukraine and later to Italy and Greece. Vivian's quiet demeanor masked her passion for travel, friendship, reading, watching classic movies, and of course, following her beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders. Vivian loved people and she was always self-confident and could easily visit and make friends with total strangers. She especially loved visiting and spoiling her granddaughter, Jessica. Shopping was one of their favourite things to do together. Vivian loved visiting, cooking and entertaining company. All of her family was very important to her and she tried to keep in touch with both sides of her family and all of her nieces and nephews. In spite of her accident and all of her health challenges she tried to persevere and remain positive. Vivian will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 39 years, Josh; son Jeff Kopan and granddaughter Jessica Kopan; sister Jean (Ray) Gulash. Also mourning her loss are her brothers and sisters-in-law; Steve (Anita) Mason, Lynn (John) Tarzwell. She was a special Aunt to Tara, Cheryl, Helen and Elizabeth. Service Details.
