Obituary of Eva Bozek

The family of Eva Bozek of Kelliher, beloved widow of Julius Bozek, sadly announce her passing on Monday, May 31, 2021. She was 96 years of age. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 11 at 10:30a.m. from St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Kelliher. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army Food Bank (147 Booth St, Yorkton, SK S3N 0J7) as gifts of remembrance. Eva Bozek passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on May 31, 2021. Eva was born on March 1, 1925 in Wishart, a daughter of Metro and Annie (Baran) Wowchuk. She attended Royal Rock School. Eva was united in marriage to Julius Bozek on June 26, 1948 at the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Wishart. The couple farmed in the Bankend district and raised their family of five children. They farmed until 1976 when they retired and moved to Leross. In 2002 they moved to Kelliher. Eva continued to reside in her home until the present time. Eva was a devoted mother who enjoyed gardening, sewing, singing and playing cards. She also loved to host family and friends with her meals and baking. Eva was predeceased by her husband Julius, son Lawrence and great granddaughter Brittany; her parents Metro and Annie; sisters Judy, Marie, Jean, Kay and brother John. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, daughters Julia, Evelyn, Theresa and Elayne (Lyle); sister-in-law Cecelia, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great grandchild; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
