Obituary of Hazel Profit

The family of Hazel Profit, of Smeaton and formerly of Yorkton, sadly announce her passing on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the age of 100 years. An interment in Yorkton Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date. Hazel profit was born November 5, 1920 to Chris and Etta Robinson in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. She married Benjamin Neil Profit on January 25, 1943. They lived most of their life together in The Pas, Manitoba where they raised their son Neil. During her time in The Pas, Hazel was actively involved with her church and spent much of her time volunteering, being chauffeur to friends and family, knitting, crafting, and baking. Her family recalls that Hazel always loved to play games, even into her 90's. She played yatzhee, scrabble, crib and bridge, just to name a few, and she usually won! Hazel was known for her sense of style, never leaving the house without a well put together outfit. She loved to shop and was especially fond of shoes. Most days, rain or shine, she would make her way to the mall to window shop and have her coffee. In her later years, Hazel moved back to Saskatchewan to be closer to family; first to Yorkton then finally to Smeaton. Hazel is predeceased by her parents Chris and Etta Robinson, her husband Ben Profit , her son Neil Profit , her sisters Lillian Sharp, Kay Dutton and Betty Pagan and her brothers Doug Robison and Gordon Robinson. Left to mourn her loss are her sister Beverlee Smears, brother Roy (Marion) Robinson, sister in law Dorothy Robinson and granddaughter Crystal Charbonneau (Don), 2 great grandsons Emmett and Ayden, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Smeaton Personal Care Home and Carrot River Health Centre for their care and support provided over the last few months. Service Details.
