Harvey was predeceased by Stephanie's mom Ann and his dad Steve. Harvey leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life, his daughter Stephanie, who he called Doodles from the time she was born, his mother Betty Manyk, brother Ken (Colleen) Manyk, sisters Barb (Dave) Lewis, Darlene (Joe) Malzseniczky, Linda (Ken) Goodman and Holly (Jerry) Weise.
Harvey was born in Wynyard, SK. on December 15, 1946 and grew up in Jansen, SK. When he was a young teenager, Harvey moved to B.C where he started a whole new life. He worked at the Hallmark Ford Dealership as a financial manager, which he loved. Harvey met Ann Eichler, a hairdresser from North Vancouver and together they moved to Maple Ridge, B.C and in 1983, their daughter Stephanie was born. Stephanie was the love of his life and she will always have fond memories of their life together. What a loving, wonderful father he was. Harvey loved to joke around with his daughter and everyone else and would always leave a smile on everyone's face. He had so many hobbies including gardening, hockey, nature, music and a glass of wine. He often talked about all the concerts he went to and he was lucky enough to have seen Elvis, Elton John, The Beatles and Leonard Cohen. Harvey was a poet and he wrote many poems, one of which was published by the Poetry Institute of Canada. He loved his hockey, Montreal Canadians being his favorite team and continued to play for many years himself. Harvey and Stephanie's favorite getaway was to the Black Mountain Ranch where he had his trailer, and also Birch Bay where Harvey would go crab fishing. Harvey loved good food at any time.
He retired and came back home to Jansen, SK. in 2014 to look after his mom who he loved very much until he got ill. They both took pride in their gardening, everyone loved their cucumbers. He especially loved going to aunt Mary's farm, even if it was just to cut the grass. Harvey was one of those guys who saw the best in everyone, so kind, generous and loving. Harvey will be sadly missed by his daughter, family and friends. Rest in peace Harvey, we love you.

AN ANGEL CAME
An angel came to me one day
Her wings they shone of Gold
And in her face she held the thoughts
The story of our souls.
Look back she said
Don't turn around
The answer lies ahead.
You know I've seen you once before
I'll see you once again.
It's all quite so simple
The beginning is the end.
It's over on the other side
I'll take you by the hand
It's just past the starlight
And written in the sand.
You see it's all so simple
Through eyes that cannot see.
You are who you're meant to be
Throughout eternity.
