Obituary of Craig Scott Kennedy-Hotomani

On Monday November 23,2020 our brother Craig Kennedy-Hotomani passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 32 years. Craig was born in Winnipeg, MB and raised in Yorkton, SK for most of his young, precious life. Craig loved his nieces and nephews and would often spend lots of fun times with them. He built a close bond with his nephew Xavier (Patsy's baby boy). This was a special bond because Xavier never got to meet his grandma June. Craig also enjoyed playing basketball with his brothers and closest friends as well as listening to his rap/pop music. One of his favorite songs was Dear Mama by 2Pac. Craig spent a lot of his adult life with his sister Tasha by his side, caring for our late mother. He also liked to teach his sister Brandi new things, tease her, play catch, make her yell around, and he also taught her how to skate. Craig loved his fur babies like they were his children. Craig was predeceased by his mom Joan Kennedy, grandmother Thelma Yvonne Louison, granny Ula Hotomani, Grandma Sylvia Crowe, uncles Linus James Hotomani (Louison) and Rusty Hotomani and niece Angel-Way Hotomani. He leaves to cherish his memory his dad Fred Kennedy, his siblings; Wayne Hotomani (Rosa), Patricia Hotomani (Dwayne), Linus Hotomani, Tasha Hotomani (John), Dustin Kennedy, Brandi Hotomani (Bear) and Leslie Hotomani. Craig will be greatly missed by numerous family and friends. The Wake Service was held on Friday, November 27, 2020 and the Funeral Service was held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, both from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. Elders Sam Isaac and Chip Taypotat led the Funeral Service. The interment followed in the Kahkewistahaw Cemetery with, Amos Pelletier, Avery Hotomani, Randall Hotomani, Landon Hotomani, Lane Gunn and Leslie Hotomani serving as casket bearers. Service Details.
