Obituary of Gloria Rosamund Wright

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Gloria Wright on October 30, 2020. Gloria was born on January 26, 1924 in Saskatoon, a daughter of James and Sadie (Cunningham) Thorburn. She received her education at Elstow and Normal School in Saskation where she attained her teaching certificate. She was united in marriage to William Wright on October 23, 1948 and were blessed with seven children. She was predeceased by her loving husband William of 48 years (1996), her daughter Claudette (2009) and sister-in-law Esta Sweatman (2020). Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her children Gordon (Dru), Monica, Teresa (James), Janice, Corliss and Lana (Al), son-in-law Bill (Dot), grandchildren Sarah (Byron), Nicole, Matthew, Teal (Joel), Kathryn and 2 great grandchildren Jadika and Emaya. Many happy times were spent with family around her. She will be sorely missed by all of us. A Graveside Service was held at Kelliher Memorial Gardens on Saturday, November 7, 2020 with Rev. Fr. Albert Schmitz of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church officiating. Farewell special Lady. Love you Mom! Service Details.
