Dear Marion and Family, I was saddened to hear of Garry's passing. My parents, John and Marianne Dowie, are life long friends. From starting businesses in Yorkton about the same time to being on many committee's together, to curling, golfing, having cabins at Madge Lake. Their friendship continues to this day. On their behalf I want to extent heartfelt sorrow and your loss. They are both in poor health and unable to contact you personally. Karen Yaholnitsky

Dear Marion and your lovely family... First I have to tell you that your family has always been in our hearts. Garry was a fantastic pharmacist, mentor and boss. Clint, Dad and myself can all claim Garry was truly one of the best bosses EVER! We loved Fletchers. Everything about it. Fletchers was a huge part of our Weinmaster lives and we are all grateful. Dad would say Garry was a curler he envied, a peer he loved working with and a true friend. Garry's unselfish willingness to accommodate the family farm schedule was always appreciated. My huge pharmacy collection at home is graced with just a few treasures Garry so proudly gave me. I cherish them and the our Fletcher's memories. My greatest thanks for you both attending Mom and Dad's funerals. Meant the world to us and for that we are all thankful. I will certainly miss Garry's compassion and care for his patients and for his employees. And I loved his spunk! -Michelle Great sympathies from the Weinmaster fam. May you cherish all the great memories I know your Dad, Grandpa, and Husband shared with you. ❤️❤️❤️

Dear Marion & family, We are so sorry to hear about Garry passing. I was talking with my father Jack Thompson, who curled with Garry on the 1949 School Boys Dominion team & he asked me to express his sincere condolences. Jan & I had the pleasure of spending some time with both you & Garry back in 2012, we both thought of Garry as a true "gentle"man. He will be missed and always in our thoughts. Scott & Jan Thompson

I met Garry when I joined the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton in 1984, and I immediately appreciated his humour and friendship. He always had a smile, his input was always wise and reasoned, and he personified the word "gentleman". The last time I met Garry was a year ago when the club's Life Members got together and attended a Kinsmen meeting together. We all reminisced together, and I will cherish that evening forever. Garry, rest in peace my friend, you have earned it. Sincere condolences to Garry's family and friends. Yours in Kin, Ken Pilon

Marion, you are so fortunate to have had such a wonderful, intelligent, loving and compassionate partner for all these years. I was so looking forward to playing bridge with Garry this winter. I miss his companionship and sense of humor. Remember all the good times (his sax and his little perks that made Garry, Garry. Carol really liked Garry, also. She said he was always so friendly, considerate and so good looking ,also. I should have been jealous, but I had to agree with her. God bless you, your family and his brother. Respectfully Carol and Gordon.

Dear Marion, how much we have missed you and Garry these past months and now we are left with a void in our hearts! He was such a kind, genuine gentleman. Always complimenting of our music at church, always stopping to say hi! Sometimes he got our names mixed up which always made us smile, because we knew his heart was in the right place! We enjoyed our chats as much as he enjoyed chatting with us. And his own dedication and talent with his Sax!! What an honour to have enjoyed his talents with the Yorkton Community Band. He will be greatly missed by so so many!! May you find peace and comfort from family and friends as you journey thru the days ahead!! RIP Garry!! We will miss you. Hugs and prayers Marion!
