Obituary of Victoria Maydanyk

The family of Victoria Maydanyk,formerly Victoria Kucher, longtime Yorkton resident sadly announce her passing on October 12, 2020 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was 82 years of age. A visitation for family & friends will be held on Thursday, October 15 from 1:00p.m. - 4:00p.m. at the Chapel Bailey's Funeral Home. Vicky Maydanyk, beloved mother of three sons: Lance, Keith and Kenneth Kucher, passed away on October 12, 2020 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. Vicky was born on November 17, 1937 to Emil Maydanyk and Mary Chutskoff. Her childhood years were spent in Veregin, Saskatchewan and then afterwards she made her home in Yorkton, where she raised her three wonderful sons with her former spouse Lawrence Kucher, and also worked as a nurse's aide at the Yorkton Hospital. After her boys grew up and moved away, Vicky enjoyed her independence. She loved biking and walking all throughout the city, and she spent many hours volunteering at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home. Through the years, she nutured numerous friendships, was loved by many, and grew spiritually sensitive to those around her. Her kindness towards others was evident in all of her relationships with people. She was thought of as a loving mother figure. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. In her lifetime, she was a very caring individual and loved both people and animals. She had beloved pet cats that provided her much joy. Likewise, she grew a very close friendship with Ted Jubenville, and they shared a happy life together until her sudden and unfortunate passing. Vicky will be missed by all her family, relatives, four grandchildren, along with the many close friends that were all fortunate enough to know and love her. Service Details.
