Obituary of Evan Harvey Simpson

Evan Harvey Simpson was born to Jack & Myrtle Simpson (nee Hanson) of Theodore, SK on June 26, 1949 in Theodore, SK. He took his schooling in Theodore and was active in 4-H and sports. After completion of grade 12 Evan went on to get his diploma in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan. In September of 1970 Evan married Diane Lockhart. Evan returned to University to continue his studies, but farming was in his blood so they left Saskatoon to begin farming in Theodore. They were blessed with 2 sons (Michael and Thomas). Evan was an active volunteer in the community for many years. He served on various committees including the Theodore Rec Board and the Commercial Cattle committee for Harvest Showdown. He was also a 4-H leader as well as a scout leader. Throughout the years Evan had many different off farm jobs including working for Sask wheat pool in Buchanan, SK, Imperial oil in Canora, SK, and most recently Parish & Heinbecker in Yorkton, SK. In February 1999 Evan married Janet Todd and gained 3 more sons (Donald, Alisdair and Dougal). They continued to make their home on the farm at Theodore until 2011 when they moved to Yorkton. Evan remained an active member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Myrtle Simpson he leaves to cherish and celebrate his life wife Janet and sons Michael (Alysson) and Thomas (Jamie) Simpson, Donald, Alisdair (Megan Schwartz) and Dougal (Rebecca Wilkenson)Todd; Grandchildren Owen, Emily, Alexander, Bailey, Payton, Cooper, Cohen, Arlo and Harlow and many other relatives and friends.
