Anne was one of my favourite aunts from the time she and Albert first came to Winnipeg in July of 1951. Anne and Al took up residence in a two room apartment at 164 Horace Street, only a block away from our house. We spent many years together enjoying the holidays with Anne and Al. In 1957, they moved to Elmwood at 520 Montrose (Larsen) and in 1963, they moved to 641 McLeod until moving back to Yorkton in 1988. Anne and Al did not have any immediate family, and us, four boys became her 'family'. We enjoyed going to her house, watching tv, having lunch with her special sandwiches, going to the theatre, the park and zoo, and receiving those special presents on our birthdays and Christmas. We travelled back and forth with them on trips to Saskatchewan for summer holidays and were regarded as their kids. Anne's doors were always open, as we passed by their home, we had a permanent invitation to drop in or spend the night. After my Mother passed in 2006, Anne and I would spend many an hour on the phone talking about people from Old Winnipeg and a four hour conversation was not uncommon. As our relatives diminished over the years, our neuclus of Anne and brother, Walter kept our family alive. We have many memories of Anne and I will never forget the part that she played in our Family's life. Rest now Anne, you deserve it.

On behalf of the Haidey Family, we were saddened to hear of our Auntie Anne's passing. We each have our own special memories of her, the family get-togethers, the visits at the farm by Melfort, and the exciting Riverboat Cruise they took us on when we visited them in Winnipeg. It never mattered how much time passed between visits, Auntie Anne never seemed to change. She was always impeccable and such a joy to be around. Rest In Peace Auntie, we take comfort in knowing you are reunited with our beloved Uncle Albert. Niece Donna and Dave Clark.

Memories of my Aunt Anne are many - she was known to us as the "City Auntie" who always came to the farm for a visit when she was visiting from Winnipeg. It's always such a great loss to lose a family member; those left behind will always cherish many fond memories of Anne. Rest in Peace.

My family had the privilege to interact and become friends through our Family Worship Church. She was an amazing classy lady. She was a kind, loving person, who had a heart for the poor and less fortunate. Her strong walk with the Lord was an inspiration, she had a strong relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus, having a revelation of His redemption and provision for her and others. She was always a strong prayer warrior interceeding for others in need. She spoke to me about the kind parents and fun as a family they had though they didn't have much ,but knew they were loved. I know she is expierencing now,all that she read and believed in the word of God,which was so precious to her.I have been blessed to have known her for the short time here.❤Till I meet her in heaven again! We have fond memories of Auntie Anne (She was everyone's favorite Auntie.) Paul and I and the children regularly visited her and Al when they lived in Winnipeg. She always made her specialty of a roast beef dinner. Later after dinner and cards, we would take the long drive from East Kildonan to Charleswood and the kids would fall asleep. Good Times!
