Obituary of Nicholas "Don" Skorobohach

Mr. Nicholas "Don" Skorobohach of Goodeve, beloved husband of Carol passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the age of 80 years. There will be a private family service held at this time with a public Memorial Gathering held at a later date. Donald Skorobohach: October 11, 1939 to March 24, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Skorobohach announce his passing on March 24th, 2020 at the age of 80. Don was predeceased by his parents John & Ann, his brother Gordon (Joan), daughter Anastasia Glockner, grandson Frederick John Skorobohach, and granddaughter Sophie Glockner. Don will be sadly missed by his loving wife Carol of 42 years; his son Fred (Amanda) and their children Celina, Lilianna (Chris), Isabella, Thomas, Napoleon & Nicholas; his son-in-law Steven Glockner and his children William & Eva; his daughter Petrunia (Steven) Olson; his daughter Tatania (Tyler) Purves and their children Aiden, Jacob, Rachel & Tessa; his daughter Avrillia (Chris) Greer and their children Ethan & Milo; his daughter Olivia (Scott Spilak) and Scott's son Steel and their new little boy to arrive in June.; his daughter Sonia (James) Craig and their children Ella & Layla. Don was born on October 11, 1939 on the family farm at Goodeve. In his early years Don loved to travel, from Toronto to Vancouver. Along the way he met many people of which he formed friendships with and made a point of keeping in touch with for many years to follow. In February of 1977 he met the love his life Carol and they were married on October 15th, 1977. This is when life really began for Don. His first loves were his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved when his grandchildren would come for a visit, call him on the phone and video chat. They were the light of his life. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening, and flowers were his passion. He particularly loved his begonias and dahlias. Don will be greatly missed by all. Please note that there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
