Obituary of Violet Peepeetch

Mrs. Violet Peepeetch of Little Bone First Nation, widow of the Late Phillip Slaferek passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was eighty-six years of age. A wake will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 commencing at 4:00 p.m. with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. from the Yorkton Friendship Centre. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 18 at 10:00a.m. from St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church. The interment will follow in the Little Bone Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Violet may be made towards Palliative Care at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. Violet Peepeetch was born January 1, 1933 to Alex Peepeetch & Delia Henry on the Little Bone First Nation. She attended residential School in Marieval. She enjoyed making braided rugs, baking, especially her famous apple pies. Violet was predeceased by her husband Phillip Slaferek, her parents and Great Grandfather Alexander Denison. Left to mourn her passing are her children; Shirley (Kevin), Irene, Iris (Don), Larry (Corrine), Phillip (Veronica), Jeanette, Francis, Charles (Carla), Kevin and Paul. Sister's Mary, Doreen and brother Sidney. As well as many Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Service Details.
