Jim Fensom Darrell and I spent many hours together while travelling back and forth to the SAMA office while I was living in Springside during the winter of 1997. We often discussed life and it became abundantly clear the life for Darrell centred around Shirley and his two girls. I often admired Darrell's commitment to the nursery and flower business that he and Shirley started from an old quanset. He showed a great deal of passion for the business and did everything possible to make it succeed. My condolences to Shirley and the girls. Remember your husband and father by the very distinctive laugh he had and a great sense of humour. He will be missed.

Darrell and I worked together and both ended up suffering from different illnesses that affected our lives in such similar ways. Iu2019m so sad that he has gone ahead of his family and friends. Until we meet again! Love you!
