Dear Molnar and Reid families, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Cynde. She was one of my very first friends and I will always cherish our growing-up years on 8th Avenue. Cynde didn't have sisters, but she was truly like one to me and Leona Pilon (we were a trio in those early days), and her constant presence amongst our families made her a surrogate, that's for sure! She really knew how to hold her own against all our older brothers and sisters, as well as her own brothers, too! I will always remember our Kool-Aid stands in front of her house, our softball games at St Henry's in the summer, and hockey games in the winter. I'll also remember our British bulldog matches, chinese skipping and bike riding, all in which Cynde excelled! A true athlete and competitor! Her birthday parties were the best, thanks to Martha's wonderful baking talents. Only Cynde had both a cake with candles as well as decorated cupcakes for everyone!! So much fun to be with! I'm so sorry for your loss, but so grateful for having known this beautiful, fun-loving person. With my heartfelt condolences, Jacki (Millette) de Villiers

Dear Molnar and Reid Families. On behalf of our family I want to extend our sympathy for your loss of Cynde. Growing up as your neighbours down the block in Melville was so much fun, and even more so because of Cynde's sparkling personality, sense of humour and mischievousness. I am sorry I was not able to attend today's service, but just wanted you to know that we're all shouting "Car!"on 8th Ave W tonight just to stop the game for a moment in memory of such a fine friend...so young, so fun.

I worked part time at SLGA with Cynde and truly enjoyed working with her. Her zest for life was easy to see and admire even while she was working. She, like me, didn't sing particularly well, but she sang loud and you knew her happiness was genuine. I also had the pleasure of coaching Nathan in football and her work ethic was something that he also mirrored. (Apples don't fall far from trees). Unfortunately family commitments are going to keep me from attending tomorrow, but I wanted you all to know how special I thought your wife, mother and grandmother was to me and many others.
