Obituary of Patricia Semeniuk

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mother and Granny, Patricia Semeniuk on Sunday, May 12, 2019 in Melville at the age of 92 years. Patricia was born on July 10, 1926 to Michael and Myrtle Manovich on the family farm in the Goodeve district. She attended Bernadine School with her brothers and sisters and upon completion of school found employment in Regina. On October 28, 1948 Patricla married John Semeniuk. The couple lived on the Semeniuk homestead and were blessed with three children. In 1970 John passed away and Patricia remained on the farm with her son Gordon until April 2019. After a recent fall at home Patricia was hospitalized and recently moved to the St. Paul Lutheran Home where she peacefully passed in her sleep on Mother's Day. Mom enjoyed her time with family and friends, she was an active member of St. Michael's parish, helping with many church activities. She had many interests and no task was too big. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking and gardening. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy. Predeceased by her parents, husband John, son-in-law George Forrest, brothers Bill, Walter, John and Andrew; sisters Kay Sawchuk and Ann Kowalchuk. Mom‘s memory will be cherished forever by her children; Gordon, Sharon Forrest and Lawrence (Christine). Grandchildren Larrah Olynyk (Darcy) and Keith Semeniuk (Cara), great grandchildren Callie, Andrew, Jonah, Roady and Nico, sister Sophie Wayda, brother-in-law Mike Kowalchuk and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Patricia Semeniuk of Goodeve, beloved wife of John passed away on Sunday, may 12, 2019 at the age of 92 years. Prayers will be held on Friday, May 17 at 7:00p.m. and the funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 18 at 10:00a.m. all from St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Goodeve. The interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Patricia may be made to St. Michael's Parish Cemetery Fund or Mass Offerings. Service Details.
