Brenda, Shayden, Judy, Bert, and families, We were saddened to hear of Doug's passing. The Suknasky family and my family (Burym) lived in the Ormside district when we were growing up. I remember Doug to be a quiet, pleasant young boy. After reading the tributes in the Memory Wall, it is obvious that these character traits and pleasant personality carried on into his adult life. May someone so special never be forgotten. Our sincere sympathy, Liz and Larry Surcon

Sending our deepest condolences to you Brenda and Shayden. We at the refinery were very saddened to hear of Doug's passing. He was one of the most dedicated workers ever at CRC and he enjoyed the people he worked with. We have many memories of Doug knowing how each piece of equipment worked from the inside out and was always a person we could go to when trying to solve a problem. Doug also shared many stories of farming which truly was a passion to him. He cared deeply about his work, the farm and most of all his family. He will be missed!

We ran into Doug and Brenda shopping at Costco, shortly after he had begun his holidays. Then, I was at his retirement party at Creekside the week before this. I'm glad I was able to see him then. Our very deepest condolences to Brenda and Shayden. He should have had more time to enjoy his retirement.
