Obituary of Ervin Leland Baber

On May 3, 2019 Ervin Baber passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville at age of 77. Ervin was predeceased by his parents Mary and Barret Baber, his older brothers Donald and Wesley of Balcarres. He is survived by two sisters Irene McLaren-Reich of Calgary and Margaret Ann Smith (Marlowe) of Emerald Park Sk., nephews Wayne (Wendy) McLaren, Daryl McLaren, Louise (Dennis) Filarczuk, Larry (Lisa) Baber, Colin Baber, Colleen (John) Machuik and numerous great nieces and nephews. Ervin was born and raised in the Lipton, Balcarres, and Tullymet areas. He remained on the family farm eventually taking over operations after his parents passing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and visits to the casinos to try his luck and watching his favorite sports teams the Riders and Blue Jays. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Ituna Pioneer Health Care Centre and St. Peter's Hospital of Melville for their excellent care and attention during his final days. Mr. Ervin Baber of Balcarres, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at the age of 77 years. A memorial service for Ervin Baber will be held on Thursday, May 9, at 2:00p.m. from the Ituna Social Club, Ituna. The interment will take place at a later date.
