Condolences to John, Dorothy and Kerri from the Kennedy family from Airdrie. John attended Our Lady Queen of Peace in Airdrie for a short time. As an educator I was a fortunate to know him. My son Jerry was his classmate and remembers John well. Even as a young man John clearly taught me some of the skills to operate a basic communication network within our school. His open-mindedness always led to positive interactions that led to some great accomplishments for our school community. We are glad that John was able to do what he loved throughout his life. i know a speak for a few people in Rawlco who are sorry we were forced to cancel plans to attend today because of the weather. I can only offer deepest sympathies for such an unfair loss. Know that John touched many people and lived more in his time than many ever will. He got to do what he loved, did it very well and created a life for himself. I had the pleasure of working with John in Regina in the early 2000's. He was an eager broadcaster, a consummate professional and an amazing person. I was both shocked and saddened to hear of his sudden passing & my thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time.

We had the pleasure of teaching John at the u2018Old Sacred Heartu2019 in our first years of teaching. He was a very talented and enthusiastic student. Later on he shared his love of journalism with us through his support in setting up the television classes in our new High School. What a great young man - and what a great loss.
