Val, Gord, Audrey, Launey, and family…Walter was a good man. We are so sorry for your loss. We fondly remember the day after Val and Gord’s wedding when Walter and Mary invited us to the farm. I (Dwight) being of Ukrainian heritage felt I was among extended family. Walter and Mary couldn’t do enough for Sandi and I. The food, drink, and hospitality never stopped coming. And Walter refused to allow us to return home to Regina without our trunk being packed full of frozen meat and vegetables. He was very much like Dwight’s late grandfather. When you step into the home of a Ukrainian you are family from the moment you arrive to the moment you depart, and this was both Walter and Mary’s way.
