All these memories...How about on the bus coming home from school. One of our pesky relatives was picking on me. I was about 16, cousin was 12 and Darcy about 8 and Darcy told him to quit bugging me or he’ll regret it. My baby brother was defending me…
Rest easy Darcy. You worked hard throughout your life. Until we are together again...eternal memory.

Our sincere sympathies to all of Darcy's (or Coyote as we knew him) family. We met him when he was working on the Regina Bypass and spent many evenings with him either at Smitty's or in our back yard. He always made us laugh. When he was flying back and forth to BC he would come over on his way home and show us his pictures. He was always looking forward to getting home to see his children. I have one funny memory of when he was over. Our patio furniture was getting quite old and the chairs were starting to rip. Coyote was bouncing around in the chair as he was telling us stories. The chair ended up ripping and and he felt terrible about it and wouldn't sit down again for the rest of the evening. Rest in peace Coyote, we will miss you.

My Sincere Condolences to the Love of Darcy’s Life Jackie and their children.Darcy was a great friend who I met through my brother Marcel and very soon became family!!!
Darcy was a dedicated family man, friend and worker and a force to be reckoned with!!!
Darcy is the only one who would eat a loaf of bread with my homemade beet borscht in one sitting and the words that came out of his mouth when eating (oh my god!, hell yes!, absolutely delicious and thank you so much for this wonderful meal !!!)
Darcy and I shared a common Love and that was listening to NickleBack and talking about our children!!! Darcy was a true friend and would call or text me to make sure I was ok after my son passed away.
Darcy you will be Dearly missed and always remembered my Friend!!!

I had the pleasure of knowing Darcy for the last 6 years. We worked on two projects together, the North Commuter in Saskatoon and on a bridge build in Fort St. John. I am very saddened to hear of his passing, we formed a close connection during our time working together.
Darcy was one of the hardest and toughest workers I ever had the pleasure of working with. A man of few words, he went about his labours with a stoic disposition, never complaining or gossiping, just doing what needed to be done. I’ve been in the same trade for the last 16 years and I can say that he was probably the best concrete finisher I ever worked with. He used to say to me after about 6 beers on a Friday after work, “You know what Mike, you’re great but you f*cking piss me off! I used to be as strong as you!” It makes me happy to know my hard work and strength earned his respect.
When Darcy did have something to say about his personal life, it was always about his children. As a man he could be described as a father first and foremost. We talked many times about how proud he was of them as well as how much he worried when teenagers would sometimes behave as teenagers do. I would try to put his mind at ease during these conversations, telling him how I went through struggles when I was young but I pulled through because I had a good family and I came from good stock. “And your kids definitely come from good stock Darcy.”
To his children if you are reading this: your Dad loved you more than anything in this world. I know this, because he told me more than once. I am so sorry that he was taken from you too soon. Know that nothing would make him happier or prouder to look down on you and see you making the best of your lives, growing into the good and honest adults he always knew you would be. Though it hurts to see him go know that he is still with you, he lives on through you, you are his true life’s work. God bless you and your family and may your pain fade in time to give way to the more pleasant memories that you will keep with you forever.
Sincerely,
Michael Classen

To Darcy’s family, words cannot describe how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Thinking of all of you at this difficult time.
Memories of you, our Brother Darcy, I will forever remember my unexpected last brief chat with you at the Coffee Shop where you would usually meet with your precious brothers. Later, when our brothers would ever mention that you, Darcy, were in town or may be coming to town, I was always only hoping for another Tim Horton’s Coffee Shop gathering with you and all of our brothers just to see your infectious smile.
I recall our Mom telling us as when you were young that you liked those expensive Jeans. Our Mom shared how she was wondering how she could break the news to you that she could no longer afford those expensive Jeans.
To have you, Darcy, our brother and, then, being you were the youngest sibling is to have experienced a very special gift. I will forever miss you and will forever love you, my dear brother, Darcy. Sister Marlene McFadyen
