Our most sincere condolences to Marlene and Karla and all the family! Have known Doug since 1967 in Saskatoon! Chester Dixon and I transported Doug down to Val Marie and Malta Montana on a weekend Doug never forgot. Doug met Bryan Trottier’s father Buzz Trottier who just loved to play country music and they had an absolute hoot!
I miss our auction rendevous, he always knew how to charm everyone he met, especially the ladies. Everyone loved Doug!
I just found out about his passing this afternoon and am so sad I missed the notice and the service! Doug is in a better place free of pain and left this world a much better place for the great man he was! I am just so sad for all Doug’s family - AND OURSELVES! God Bless you all!

Our condolences to Doug's wife, Karla and family, and the Ukrainetz family. We had the pleasure of meeting Doug and Karla when a close friend had need of their services. We had such great visits every time we stopped, right from the day of inquiry right to the day of final settlement. They and the staff did a fabulous job of the firearms auction for the property of our friend's husband. Doug was always full of laughs. He and Karla did an outstanding job for our friend. We appreciate their honesty and enjoyed doing business with them. The auction services in general will be missing a great part of the business at Doug's passing. Good wishes to you Karla as you carry on the legacy.

I am so sorry to learn about Doug's passing. I didn't know him long, but I can say this....A kind, caring man, he took care of people...didn't matter how well he knew you, he always both cared for, and had time for you! He had this knack of making everyone he ever had a conversation with, feel important.....he was a such great listener! He will be greatly missed. I definitely know that whenever I see a notification for, or visit an auction house, I will think of him.

To Karla and the Ukrainetz family— we are so sorry to hear about Doug’s passing. He was such a fine man, a real ‘people person’. When Doug and Karla did our parents’ farm auction in 2016, they did such an amazing job, with such friendliness and kindness! What a team! Both Aileen and Alan talked about the auction, and their friends Doug and Karla, for the rest of their lives. Doug made such an impression on them. We know how much you will miss him.
