Sending condolences at this difficult time. I am one of theSwift Current relatives. The last time I had a visit was in the 1990s. But all tho we were not in contact often it was a visit with family like yesterday. Sending hugs!

I first met Laurie and Norm in the early 1980’s when they came to Hendon, Saskatchewan to teach a “Know Your Sewing Machine” class. As a Home Economics teacher in Kelvington, we eventually needed new school sewing machines and Norm and Laurie came out to show us options and prices. This was the beginning of a long term relationship with Norm coming yearly to service the school machines. Barb started to come along too, first as an assistant and then on her own. In 1996 Barb sold me the most awesome machine ever invented, a Pfaff 7570. The Miller’s have left a memorable legacy in Yorkton. Barb keep the memories coming.
An honor to have known all of you.

My deepest sympathy to all the Miller family. Norma, Barb and Beth I am thinking of you and your families. I have so many fond memories of all of us from the Yorkton days. I am picturing Laurie in the back room at Pfaff, Norm was in the basement fixing. It was all very intriguing to a little girl from the trailer court. All that cool fabric and older sisters! I always felt loved and welcomed by Laurie and Norm on Broadway and Myrtle. Laurie and Norm loved each other, this I could tell. Laurie always ready to play cards or games and Norm full of silly jokes. What I am so very grateful is for the two visits Laurie and I had, one at the Gladstone and one at the Crossing. Laurie was so proud of all of you. She spoke so lovingly about all her children, Norm, and all of you grandchildren. It was nice to see each grandchild's photo on her wall to reference every story. Laurie was very ambitious and passionate about publishing her stories with Norma. I'm including a picture of my daughter, Madeline, when we visited Laurie at her home in the Gladstone. Laurie I love you, I'm grateful for having known you in this life.
