I can't echo enough, the kindness of our Uncle Lewis. My sisters and Kerry are so right that he was such a gentle giant. Even when I got to help him bale one summer, and my tractor driving skills were much to be desired. No matter how badly i jerked the tractor forward where it almost pitched Uncle Lewis head long off the stone boat...he never showed anger. Just patience. Tara and I send out most heartfelled condolonce to Gloria, Brenda and all your family. My you find comfort in all the warm words written these past few days. We send our love to all of you.

I am heartbroken to hear that my Uncle Lewis has passed away. He was an important part of my growing up years as I often spent time at my grandparent’s home and he was always nearby or he would come out to our farm and help my father, Walter Adams. He was always so kind, mild mannered, patient and soft spoken…. just a gentle giant of a man. I was always so proud to call him my uncle.
Due to distance and weather, I am so sorry that I cannot attend the funeral service. I will keep you all in my prayers and in my thoughts. May Uncle Lewis rest in Eternal peace.

It was sad news to learn of Uncle Lewis passing. Most of my memories were from the family farm in the 1970's, when the Yorkton kids would come for a visit and with Brenda's help, we always found some interesting things to make mischief of, to complicate things for Grandpa or Uncle Lewis. However, Uncle Lewis was always such a quiet and gentle person, he never got mad and usually just had a chuckle at us. In fact, in my whole life, I am quite certain I cannot recall a time when Uncle Lewis ever got mad, at anyone or anything. That was his wonderful nature and character, something I wish I could aspire to. My most sincere sympathies to Aunt Gloria, Brenda and Derek and the entire family. Rest assured, Uncle's caring nurture is keeping watch over all of the family.
