My most sincere condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Sophie while visiting my mother at SPLH. I was usually greeted by Sophie's bright blue eyes and her beautiful smile. She was such a sweet sweet lady. Candy Schick

Your house was our second home. We wore a path through the lilac bushes to get their faster. The door was always open with a seat at the table (or couch) waiting. My memories of you are tied to my stomach - the fresh bread with real butter, cream of pea soup, Christmas short bread, Hungarian paprika stew, cinnamon buns, poppy seed roll, ginger snaps. Your love and care filled our hearts and our stomachs. Any given holiday we would have 12 people gathered at your kitchen table. That number grew to 14, 16, 18 then 20. The house seemed to expand to fit us all. You and Grandpa lived their for almost 60 years and walking in to the house was like walking into a hug. Love you, rest in peace.
