Sympathy to Larry's family and friends. I first met Larry at Duck Mountain in 1982 nearly 40 years ago. Our paths crossed often over the years even working a number of years together in the Melville office. Such fun times always lots of jokes and pranks and that big hearty laugh of Larry's. He was a kind and caring man and exceptionally genuine. I Unfortunately won't be able to make it Saturday to celebrate the life of a true gentleman. Rest easy Larry

I have only known Larry for approximately 3 years and interacted with him on occasions, as we both work in the same branch of the Ministry. He was always pleasant to talk to and devoted to his job. Larry was easy to get along with and always willing to help others, going the extra mile to make my job and others much easier. He always had a kind word, sharing a few jokes here and there and making others feel comfortable around him. I would always here legendary stories at work of Larry and Ken McCormick on there numerous trips in the field as a Survey crew and it always sounded like a joy to be around Larry. My regret is that I didn't get to see him when he took ill as I didn't expect him to leave us. I extend my dearest condolences to the Stecyk family and will keep the family in my prayers as you go through this difficult time of losing someone so special. RIP Larry.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences to Janet and family on your loss. I had the opportunity to know Larry over our years working for the Ministry of Parks. He will be well remembered for his positive attitude and easy going. He was very well known and respected by the staff throughout the parks and recreation sites as well as the Regina office. I had the opportunity to visit with Larry in hospital and had an enjoyable visit reminiscing. He will be sadly missed. Calvin and Marielle Loef

My uncle Larry. Hilarious guy who only and always cared about everyone else before himself. When we were camping and we would go tubing, I always gave him and my uncle Kevin a thumbs up so they would speed up the boat and try (always being successful) to dump me in the water! But he was always quick to get me out and make sure I was ok. Iu2019ll forever grieve about this loss because all he did was love. Miss you forever uncle Larryud83dude22

Our heartfelt condolences to Larryu2019s mom Janet, the Stecyk Family and Larryu2019s many close friends. I had the privilege to have worked with Larry for over 40 years. The first 25 plus years as the survey/construction crew for the Melville Region which was later expanded to cover the entire Provincial Park System in the 90u2019s. Working from the US border at North Portal to as far north as Wollaston Lake. Larry and I went different directions with the Ministry for a few years but crossing paths or working together on a regular basis. More recently, by definition, I became Larryu2019s boss. I had a short meeting with Larry shortly after this happened indicating I did not plan on being his boss simply because I didnu2019t need to. Knowing his dedication to top quality workmanship, his work ethics, his ability to work with whomever his path crossed, and the list goes on. I would be his dispatcher and assist as needed. Larry is highly respected throughout the Provincial Park System and will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege to have known him. They say working for the same employer for 40 years is rare let along working with the same people. I feel (and I know others feel the same) that not only did I lose a co-worker, a good friend, but also feel like I lost a brother. Rest in peace my friend. Until we meet again. Ken Ken & Lorraine McCormick
