Allan Steven Bulych was born on October 2, 1952 at the Lestock Hospital. He was the second child to Steve and Margaret Bulych. He had an older sister Donna and a younger sister, Colleen. They resided in Ituna on the family farm. Allan had a passion for classic cars, sports cars, and motorcycles. Through his younger years, he had many sports cars and carried that interest throughout his entire life. Alongside his dad, he helped on the family farm in Jasmin, Sk. While farming, they operated an Auto Wrecking business and also had heavy equipment which they used for building roads, land clearing, and digging dugouts. In 1968, Allan ventured off to Vancouver, British Columbia, with his uncle John Bulych seeking employment. While he was there, he worked at a lumber mill for a very short period. He then returned home to help his dad. Allan met Bonnie Pisiak in 1970 in Ituna. They were married on Nov. 6, 1971. They resided in a mobile home in Ituna. While they lived in the mobile home, Allan with the help of his dad, built a new home for his family. They were blessed with three sons: Chad born on November 18, 1971, Kelly born on November 4, 1973 and Evan born on February 19, 1978. In 1990, Allan bought his first semi and started a scrap metal recycling business. This business is still in operation today and is proudly being operated by his three sons. Allan took pride in his sons, instilling the value of hard work into each of them. His motto was "If you want something in life, you have to work for it!". He was sure to teach his boys everything he knew in all aspects of life. In 1992, Allan decided that it was time to learn how to dance, so the whole family signed up for dance lessons in Melville, SK., which is why he was such a good dancer and loved to dance every chance he'd get. Allan and Bonnie went their separate ways in April of 1999. Allan then met Linda Elles in 2002 and welcomed her and her 5 children: Kim, Jenni, Kalee, Seth and Keil, into his home. Over the next 15 years, he played a huge role in each of her kids' lives, helping her raise them as if they were his own. In 2013, Allan purchased Parkland Distributors and re-opened it in the old Safety Bath building, which is now known as Northside Sales & Service. Along with Allan's many accomplishments, he was known for having a ‘heart of gold'. He was always there for anyone when they were in need of a helping hand. He left a lasting impression on everyone that has known him. Allan fought a courageous battle with cancer and was taken from us on March 1, 2019 at the Ituna Pioneer Lodge. He was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of August 2018. He managed to still work while he was taking his chemo treatments and radiation. He was a strong and determined man that never let anything hold him back from doing what he loved to do - WORK! Allan was predeceased by his parents Steve and Margaret; sisters Donna and Colleen. To cherish his memory, he leaves his son Chad (Brenda), grandchild Guilianne; son Kelly (Tammy), grandchildren Brendan (Lauren), Brady and Megan; and his son Evan (Stella), grandchildren Josh (Jenn), Matt, Rainy, L.J., Mikah, Brett (Kaitlyn), and great grandchild Briella; nephew Brent (Stacey), Taylor and Nevada Grebinski; nephew Greg (Mary), Gage Grebinski; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
